I tried the MBT's because I was going to go to Las Vegas on vacation and I knew I was going to be doing a lot of walking and that my plantar fasciitis would limit my walking. I purchased the MBT's and never gave my heel a second thought. I have been pain free since buying the MBT. They have helped me to straighten my posture. I've got my wife wearing them too. I have a dress pair for work and a casual pair for any other time. I will never be without my MBT's again.

This is my second pair of MBTs, the first is the black leather boots (very cool). I like the look of these shoes (I have them in red) more than pretty much the rest of the MBT casual line. I wear them on the concrete floors of my workshop nearly every day. I can¡¯t vouch for any claims to improved leg muscles or extra calories burned while standing still, but I spend probably 4-8 hours on my feet each day, and these shoes are a huge improvement over thinner-soled shoes. The cushioning is good, but I found the pressure on the ball of my foot was too much (I have neuromas), so had to use 3/4 inserts (not needed with Danskos). The shoes comfortably accommodate the inserts. Walking in the MBTs is not my forte - living in the city I have walked perhaps a mile or more at a time doing errands, and find them to be awkward and slow (I like to move fast), which probably adversely affects my posture. Yay! These shoes are fantastic. Did get some blisters on my heels the first couple of days. Probably more a factor due to my strangely narrow heels. I bought some of those new ultra-low sock liners that you can wear with pumps to keep my feet feeling fresh -- perfect. Got these on clearance; discontinued color. Highly recommend.

I thought the toe bed was too tight. I've worn the Sport Lows and find them comfortable. The buckles seemed like too much work, especially if I was going to wear them in airport travel.

They may look ugly, but they do wonders for your feet and back. If you have anything wrong with your feet such as a heel spur or neuroma, this shoe takes the pressure off. Also the shoes cure backache after walking in them for one week. The shoe comes with a DVD to explain the process. This is my second pair and my husband got a pair. They are pricey, but worth it.
